Background
After original creator Eiichi Fukui’s death from overwork, Igaguri-kun was briefly continued by Haruo Shimizu following issue 1954-08, and then taken over by Asakazu Arikawa until its conclusion in issue 1960-12. The series was adapted to a TV drama which was broadcast in Japan from January 4 to December 26, 1960. An edition collecting most of Eiichi Fukui’s work has been licensed in English as Igaguri-kun: Young Judo Master by Bubbles Zine.
