Rex is a member of the cult of Diablos. One of those magic-wielding children whom the cult gathers around the country in one way or another, trains and brainwashes. Together with a detachment of nameless pawns of the cult, he carried out an attack on the Royal Academy of Magical Swordsmen of Midgar.
