In celebration of Diving Day in Japan, the official account of the popular diving anime "Grand Blue" has revealed a new promotional visual along with information about the opening theme song for the third season, in preparation for its broadcast this coming July "7", produced by studios Saber Works and Zero-G.

The date May 24 (5/24) can be read as “Go” for the number 5, “to” for the number 2, and “Shi” or “Sea” for the number 4, forming the phrase “Go to Sea”. The promotional visual highlights seven people walking on a southern island, featuring an elegant design that is completely different from the usual tone of the series.

Anime Information

The manga that the anime is based on began in 2014 and achieved great success, leading to a television anime adaptation in July 2018 and a live-action film released in August 2020, while the second season ended in September after being leaked online before its official release.

The new season takes place in Palau, marking the first time the story moves outside Japan entirely. The original story follows “Iori Kitahara,” who begins his college life in a seaside town, only to find himself surrounded by diving, comedy, and chaotic situations alongside a group of troublesome friends.
