Upcoming historical scenes without revealing the release date
The historical manga "Historie" by Hitoshi Iwaaki has received a TV anime adaptation, coinciding with the launch of the official website for the project. The anime is still in its early stages, and so far only the production has been assigned to LIDEN FILMS.
Additionally, the first key visual and a promotional video have been revealed. The key visual features the protagonist Eumenes beginning his journey on foot, with the city of Cardia and its circular skyline in the background.

In the anime announcement, the author mentioned that he first conceived the story over four decades ago, and later, about twenty years ago, began sketching the initial drawings in his modest studio at the time.

The historical manga began serialization in 2004 and has released 12 volumes to date, with over 4.7 million copies in circulation. The manga has achieved significant critical acclaim, winning awards such as the 2010 Japan Media Arts Festival, the 2012 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, and Best General Manga at the 2025 Kodansha Awards.
It is also noteworthy that the author’s previous work, Parasyte, served as inspiration for both anime and live-action adaptations between 2014 and 2015.
